Main Purpose
To provide an accurate timely and qualitative dispensing service of drugs

Accountabilities

• Dispense medication to patients according to medical prescription.
• Ensure the medication is labeled with the correct drug name strength quantity expiry date directions for use and includes and additional required information
• Provide clear instructions and advice on how to take the drug when how long how to store possible sideeffects and any other relevant warnings. Make sure the patientunderstands in order to ensure correct treatment.
• Adhere to MSF practice policies and procedures for dispensing medicines in particular those relating to controlled drugs
• Ensure respect of confidentiality in dispensing
• Maintain minimum stock levels of medicines checking expiry dates and storageconditions. Ensure no medicines or material are taken out of the dispensary without authorization
• Maintain accurate dispensing records and regularly report them to hisher technical reference.
• Place accurate and timely orders with the central stock
• Ensure returned and outofdate medication is safely removed to a well designatedquarantine zone for unwanted pharmaceuticals separated from the normal stock
• Organize and keep clean the pharmacy Ensure cleanliness and care in handling medicines to avoid contamination and mixup.
• Maintain dispensary equipment ensuring it is clean accurate and in a good state ofrepair.
• Maintain de integrity and security of the dispensary by admitting only authorizedpersonnel and ensuring that all medicines are stored as appropriate.
• • Report immediately to the technical reference on any problem arising in the service specially loss robbery quality problems with medicines abnormal changes in colour consistency odour.. damage of medical equipment or medicines.
  • Carry out Patient Therapeutic Education PTE and interact with patient using a patient based approach to accompany chronic disease HIV TBetc. patients along their visits
  • o Receive patient inform about treatment and adherence ensuring confidentiality at any time.
    o Give appointment for the next drug delivery.
    o Inform medical doctor in case of a lack of adherence.
    o Identify the reasons and find solutions to improve adherence.

    • Nurse diploma essential – bachelor degree
    • Pharmacy Degree will be acceptedExperience
      • None is required
      • 1 year experience will be an added valueLanguage Level Description • Arabic
