My client, a global
leader in the food & beverage, energy, and industrial markets worldwide is
currently recruiting for a Procurement Engineer, This position will be based in
Dammam-Saudi Arabia. You will be reporting directly to the General Manager
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing full administrative and procurement support to the company's Service Centre based in Dammam. Performs complicated, diversified and confidential administrative duties. Requires a broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organisation policies, practices and procedures. Requires a high level of tact and integrity due to the great frequency of senior-level internal and external contacts and regular exposure to confidential data. Relies on expertise and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and works under general supervision. A degree of creativity, latitude and judgment is required.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
• Prepares confidential and general work. Prepares draft as well as final copies of documents. Assembles and prepares material for scope of work, inspection reports, and any other ad hoc processes including presentations and meetings.
• Inputs data into SAP database; including order input to trigger final invoicing.
• Deal with company's service functions to carry out requests on behalf of the Service Centre General Manager. Negotiation, formulation and placement of purchase orders on sub-suppliers.
• Effectively communicates verbally and writing with all levels.
• Completes assignments and special projects of a more difficult nature. Responsible for coordinating and gathering information and data across broad cross-functional teams.
• Composes, prepares and edits correspondence.
• Screen phone calls, visitors and incoming correspondence; responds and/or transmits messages as appropriate; summarizes contents of incoming material.
• Schedules appointments and maintains calendar for meetings and reports. Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agendas and reserves facilities.
• Arranges travel (domestic and international) hotel and other reservations. Track schedules.
• Maintains smooth office routine and meet necessary deadlines.
