Job description As a Letter of Credit Clerk you will most probably work as part of a team and report to a senior Financial Officer. The daily duties of a Letter of Credit Clerk include the gathering of necessary information or documentation to complete Letters of Credit and any related financial transactions. You will be required to check all information thoroughly to ensure there are no errors and what is being presented is evaluated and validated correctly in the interests of the company and its policies. Key skills and qualifications To be a Letter of Credit Clerk you will be educated to degree level and hold the relevant financial qualifications suitable to this position. You will be working directly with banks and so it’s important that you are able to work in an organised manner and can communicate effectively at all levels. You will be a team player and be experienced in working with others’ but also able to work alone in an organised manner. A Letter of Credit Clerk must be articulate and extremely numerate and logical in their approach.
