1) To act as Secretary to ARMC and prepare Minutes of Meeting.
2) Prepare Internal Audit plan and programs on the basis of risk assessment and/or feed back from last audit results;
3) Ensure that Internal Audits are carried out as per the plan;
4) Communicate results of audits to the Management and the Audit and Risk Management Committee;
5) Verify that corrective actions are taken on the audit observations and the risks are addressed in a timely and proper manner;
6) Verify Company's compliance with the laws, regulations and contracts;
7) Review all operational areas for their utilization of resources and compliance with established policies and procedures and internal regulations
8) Review the ways and means of safeguarding assets;
9) Participate in the preparation of Manual of Authority and Procedures and in the design of automation systems as an advisor on internal control;
10) Review the controls in systems to ensure the reliability and integrity of information and ensure timely submission of statements;
11) Promote and propagate awareness of risk management issues and ensure that the members of the Board of Directors and the employees have been informed about the legal requirements, Government guidelines, Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, the internal regulations and any changes thereon from time to time;
12) Liaison with Central Bank of Oman, Capital Market Authority, Muscat Securities Market and other regulatory authorities when necessary;
13) Perform duties in accordance with Article 7 of the Circular no. 6/2002 issues by the Capital Market Authority and in accordance with the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
