Description
The Operations Manager - Packaging is responsible for the following areas:
- Manage the day to day running of the production and maintenance within the plant in Saudi Arabia- Manage and lead the teams to ensure they hit company targets and overall expectations of safety, quality and customer service- Develop and implement continuous improvement culture with a best in class approach through proactive employee participation and coaching- Develop and maintain effective communication systems along with regular performance feedback- Lead and motivate staff to exceed targets and look to improve operational and behavioural performance- Enhance product quality and customer service through people involvement- Constantly look for ways to improve the team, operation and performance of the business to ensure the continued growth and development of the business in the marketplace.
Profile
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience to be suitable for this position:
- A proven track record of achievement in production and manufacturing operations within the FMCG packaging or corrugated cardboard industry- Must have managed large teams of people within packaging manufacturing operations- Strong knowledge of all operational functions including Production, Maintenance, Quality, HSE, Cost, Customer service and performance- Track record and knowledge of implementing Continuous improvement techniques and delivering benefits from doing so- Able to manage and control costs and cost savings without detriment to customer service or quality- A strong leader, motivator and communicator who is capable of dealing with all nationalities, culture and levels of management and staff effectively.
