As Senior Packaging Development
Technologist you are a key support to the R&D team and you ensure the
execution of innovation pipeline in collaboration with Marketing & the
cross-functional project team across all product categories.

Description
- In close collaboration with a cross functional team (Marketing/Production/Sales/Procurement), you support the packaging development and continuous Improvements projects (quality improvements / cost savings)
- Prepare and organize benchmarking sessions (BIC) with competitor PKG samples (pictures/sample information/etc)
- Arrange & manage the records of PKG raw materials from warehouse or from suppliers to the R&D lab
- Prepare PKG prototypes as per brief in the PKG development lab
- Support Packaging line trials within Manufacturing/Co-Manufacturing/Co-Packing facilities (ensure performance validation of packaging structure and/or packaging design)
- Support transit tests with supply chain (ensure the Packaging protects the product throughout the entire distribution channel)
- Support PKG materials evaluation/ PKG machine set up to deliver cost saving initiatives / Continuous Improvement
- Support in coordinating trials to produce physical samples for evaluation (transit test/ pack dimensions validation/machinability validation)
- Compile trial results into reports/ spread sheet for interpretation.
- Responsible to maintain 5S standards in R&D office and PKG lab
- Manage consumables required to operate the CBD PKG lab
- Escalate any maintenance issues on PKG machines to maintenance team/ suppliers and follow up until resolved
- Develop/maintain SOP for the PKG lab equipment
Profile
- Diploma/Post diploma in Packaging technology.- Some understanding of Food hygiene.- Minimum 3 years' experience in packaging development & continuous improvement in the Food Industry- Knowledge, skills of Food hygiene standards and engineering principles- Good English Communications Skills (Verbal & non-verbal)- Practical /Hands-on
