Description
The main tasks and areas of responsibility will be:
- Human Resources Management and deployment planning for the maintenance teams and workshops, the On the Job Trainees and Border Guard Maintainer in co-operation with the Border Guard Supervisor- Head of Workshops- Compliance with the maintenance intervals for the Crew and the Base Maintainer Preparation of work assignments- Securing of technical correctness and observing of deadlines of working tasks- Material management and continuance of material handling and replenishment- Support of the Base Manager in terms of evaluation and analysis of defects / claims by the client, for the Claim- / Guaranty Management as well as for access to long lead items (BG Strategic Spare Parts) -- Reporting and evaluation including cost estimation of defects / claims- Preparation and scheduling of long lead maintenance- Compliance for various regulations, regarding workshop, transportation, safety, accident, prevention and environment
Profile
- Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable education- Several years of work experience and respective skills in ship maintenance and marine engineering with commercial background knowledge e.g. management principles and techniques- High experience in Human Resource Management, Commercial Management and the leading of building sites and/or bases- Leadership personality- Good communication and diplomatic skills- Ability to act situational and decisive personality- Willingness to travel and flexibility- Fluency in written and spoken English including technical and commercial terms is inevitable- Arabic is advantageous
