Client has been award several multi-million
dollar infrastructure projects including
Bridges / Expressways and Light
Rail
across the country.We are currently looking to
recruit several
experienced Highway Design
Managers to take the lead on the
design and
review process. The successful
candidates must have experience of designing
candidates must have experience of designing
high value projects within the Infrastructure -
Roads -
Highways - Bridges - Rail & Metro Sectors, as well as some project
management experience.THE ROLEReporting to the Engineering Manager the
role is to support the management process and coordination of all
highway engineering design during the life of the programme.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaison with the design support team to manage and co-ordinate all of the engineering design for the programme across all phases of work in the design process- Participating in value engineering reviews- Auditing compliance against standards, policies, procedures and best practises for engineering on the Programme- Monitoring compliance against the approvals requirements, including regulatory authorities, for the Programme- Participating in the process of design reviews and implementation of independent highway design checks, constructability reviews and value engineering;- Liaison and co-ordination between the Designers in the development of engineering work packages- Ensuring that Health, Safety, Environment and Security requirements are properly considered and included in all stages of the design process- Confirming that necessary approvals are obtained from certification bodies- Ensure the Design Consultants deliver the right product of the right quality on schedule.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum of 10 years highway/infrastructure design and project management experience- Undergraduate degree- Knowledge of engineering aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects- Excellent report writing and communication skills- User of MS Office- Preferably previous experience of projects in the Middle EastCOMPETENCIES
