The Chief Financial
Officer will be a member of the Senior Management Team and report directly to
the Chief Executive Officer of the Organization and have close interaction with
the Senior Management Team and the
Boards. As a member of the Senior
Management Team, the CFO will support the CEO in setting strategic direction
and driving financial performance. The CFO defines financial strategy and
manages key support functions including accounting/controlling, budgeting,
inventory management, financial reporting, insurance, procurement, supply
chain, risk management, tax and treasury.
- Advise the CEO and
key business leaders on the financial implementation of strategic issues.Define
the business and financial strategy in cooperation with senior management based
on a robust and thorough annual planning process and taking into consideration
the economic situation, market trends and development.
- Provide strategy and
direction to business planning and the investment process, ensure financial
support to business leaders.
- Provide strategic
direction for effective tax, treasury, financial risk management.
- Ensure compliance
with accepted financial accounting standards and legal requirements by setting
and monitoring internal controls.
- Oversee the
accounting process, credit risk and other financial processes.
- Ensure adequate
usage of the ERP system in the finance area.
- Ensure appropriate
consolidation of the company financial according to accounting standards.
Governance, Financial Risk Management and Internal Controls.
- Constantly improve
Finance Processes and identify ways to improve financial and business
performance.
- Provide strategic
direction and ensure that the procurement, production, inventory control,
logistics and distribution process is functioning effectively to avoid delays
which may have impact on the production and financial loss.
- Provide direction
and support to the entire Contract Management by participating in the tender
meetings by providing financial and business direction to proposed tenders in
order to ensure both adherence to commercial policy and as well as achievement
of clear business results.
- Provide strategic
direction in the areas of inventory forecasting, inventory valuation, quality
management for the availability of materials/spare parts to meet the
operational requirements.
- Provide strategy and
direction to maintain optimum inventory levels to cater for the materials/spare
parts requirements for all production units.
- Act as a sparring
partner to the CEO and proactively coordinate with other Senior Management Team
members.
- External interfaces
include auditors, lawyers, consultants, bankers, rating agencies and the trade
press and chemical analysts.
- Ensure internal
customers' satisfaction by continuous stakeholder management.
