Elevator Mechanic
Responsibilities
PAE is a leading provider of integrated global mission services to the U.S. Government and its allied partners. For over fifty years PAE has provided training logistics operations and maintenance services to support complex missions for customers around the world. PAE employs approximately 15000 people in over 60 countries supporting some of the most meaningful and exciting missions in the world.
The Elevator Technician is responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of the mechanical systems and accessory components to ensure proper certification and licensing and continuous operation of 19 elevators.
• Locates and determines causes of trouble in brakes motors switches and signal and control systems using test lamps ammeters and voltmeters disassembles defective units and repairs or replaces parts including locks gears cables and faulty safety devices.
• Lubricates bearings and other parts to minimize friction.
• Installs or repairs generators transformers switchboards controllers circuit breakers motors heating units conduit systems or other transmission equipment
• Works from blueprints drawings layouts or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the equipment
• Crosstrains crossutilizes and directs activities of Third Country National TCN Electricians and Elevator MechanicElectricians to match peak workload requirements
