APPLIANCE TECHNICIANThis is a trade’s position based at the Consulate General CG Basrah Iraq and will be associated with the Operations and Maintenance section. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing CG Basrah appliance requirements. This position reports to the CG Basrah Lead Appliance Technician. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
DUTIES
• Become proficient in the use and completion of work orders WO produced by the Work Orders for Windows WOW database

• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of CG Basrah appliance maintenance and repairs tasks including
o Commercial and residential appliance operations and maintenance including refrigerators stoves convection and microwave ovens dishwashers clothes washers and dryers and reefer units
o Operation of pipes pumps and pressure gauges
o Operates generators electrical systems
o Drive a service truck
o Service Desk and work orders
o Logistics and warehousing procedures
o Vehicle operations
• Prepare and submit detailed reports on appliance projects for the Lead Appliance Technician
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Appliance Technician
EXPERIENCE
• The Appliance Technician must have a minimum of two years’ appliance maintenance and supervisory experience in an overseas environment.
