ESH Inspector
DUTIES
The ESH Inspector reports directly to the QCESH Supervisor and is located at the Baghdad Embassy Complex in Baghdad Iraq. Heshe conducts training in OSHA safety practices and performs daily inspections of work in progress to ensure personnel follow all safety guidelines operating procedures and regulations. This position is located in Baghdad Iraq where the ESH Inspector will field implement and enforce the government approved Safety Plan.
• Ensures personnel operating or working near energized electrical systems wear eye protection and other applicable Personal Protective Equipment PPE
• Trains personnel in proper wear and use of PPE.
• Ensures personnel use proper lifting techniques to prevent back injury
• Has the responsibility to issue “Stop Work” orders in the event of any unsafe practices and notifying management of any required corrective actions
• Ensures availability of electronic and hard copy MSDS sheets for all chemicals or hazardous substances used at work sites and conducts daily inspections to ensure employees understand and comply with MSDS requirements.
• Implements and maintains an effective management system for efficient operations
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
