We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Transport department in Al Futtaim Logistics. The role will be based from our busy Jebel Ali site and will report into the Operations Manager. The main purpose of this role is to ensure all elements of the Auto Units Storage facility and Distribution sites are supervised professionally, efficiently, safely and profitably on a continuous basis.
It is the responsibility of the Transport Supervisor to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while maintaining optimum levels of operational efficiency at minimum cost. Supervise both the fleet and drivers and ensure all staff have the ability to perform their roles to the required company standard. Total control and accountability of the remote sites is under the incumbents' supervision.
About You
To be considered for this role you will ideally be a graduate and will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Transport Supervisory role. It is essential that you have a strong commercial awareness of the Logistics industry. This role involves an element of local travel and therefore a driving licence is essential.
As prior operational experience is a requirement for this position, it is expected that you will have strong management and communications skills within a distribution environment.
