• Handling sales and support at
Furniture Department
• You are responsible to achieve the
sales budget and gross margin goals set by the furniture sales manager for the
areas you are responsible for.
• You are responsible for all the
operating costs related to your area (staff costs being the most significant).
• Ensure that the 3 Ace and King
concept is well presented in your area.
• You are responsible to achieve the
customer satisfaction goals set by the furniture sales manager for your area
(measured by Brand capital & CSI).
• Coordinate with the group leader
in scheduling salesmen within your area to ensure productivity and ensures that
the department is adequately staffed.
• You are responsible to ensure that
the store shape looks as new and has a strong commercial basics level in your
area during all opening hours.
• Inform Furniture Sales Manager
& group leader of any suggestions, ideas, tools to promote sales, and
about customers or staff complaints on products, services or procedures.
• You are responsible to ensure that
each area you are responsible for is properly staffed with trained and
qualified co-workers during all opening hours.
• Ensure that right physical
inventories are done regularly.
• Ensure that IKEA has the strongest
low price image regarding furniture on your local market.
• You are responsible to ensure that
the sales forecasts are adapted to the actual sales in order to achieve an
optimal goods flow.
• Monitor the attendance of
co-workers and schedule their vacations according to the work load.
• Performs duties and
responsibilities of other business areas in Furniture or other departments to
achieve the flexibility in the floor.
• Displays IKEA standards and value
system in behavior and appearance.
• Preserves and demonstrates proper
use of the store facilities and Equipments.
• Responsible for all products
related to your area of responsibly regarding maintenance, safety, display,
Sales & communicating customer benefits and prices.
• Work closely together with all
co-workers to phase in and out products continuously during the year
• Ensure that all products related
to your area of responsibility are maintained according to the four
merchandizing basics.
• Coordinate with the add-on group
leader in effectively using Add-on products in your area of responsibility to
add value to the main products.
• Conduct a customer flow analysis
before & after any major changes taking place in your area, and take
appropriate actions based on agreement with your furniture sales manager and
group leader.
• Make a list of the 10 most
frequently asked questions by visitors and follow up on them regularly.
• Ensure that all internal
transactions, within your area of responsibility, are effectively and
efficiently managed.
• Ensure that systems and methods
stated in IKEA Concept Documentation are implemented in your area of the
showroom.
• Together with the Com & In
manager and the first interior designer, secure that the IKEA store provides a
commercial range presentation in your area and that customers perceive IKEA as
a competent home furnishing specialist.
• Together with the Store Logistics
department, ensure that sales forecasts of all products in your HFB are adapted
to the sales pattern so that the ordering process of goods leads to a healthy
stock situation.
• Work closely together with Group
Leader in the Furniture function to phase in and out products continuously
during each year.
• Secure that all products in your
area are displayed according to the merchandising basics (clean, full, priced
and well maintained) during all opening hours.
• Steer the performance in the
showroom towards maximized sales and optimized long-term profit by:- Applying
sales methods in accordance with the selling in the showroom the IKEA way
manual and the range presentation the IKEA way manual.- Ensure the
implementation of the sales objectives defined in the furniture range sales
budget.- Setting standards for the store operating procedures in the
showroom.Ensure having all co-workers properly trained including development
programs to secure the store performance and succession needs.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the
local home furnishings market (e.g. customers, trends and competition).
• Conduct regularly competitor
analysis and take appropriate actions based on agreements with your furniture
sales manager & group leader.
• Implement the annual business plan
with the furniture sales manager and group leader in regards to your own
department and areas of responsibility.
• You and your department are also
responsible for the execution of the stores' commercial calendar
.• Follow-up and communicate to the
furniture sales manager and group leader the agreed KPI's within your area of
responsibility.
• Train co-workers to satisfactorily
meet with customers in the showroom and to provide the store customers with
accurate information regarding product availability, when products that are out
of stock will be available again etc.
