Developing and
implementing a value added Human Resource (HR) strategy, which is aligned with
and supports achievement of overall organizational strategy and performance
objectives.
Developing policies
and procedures for the HR department, which are compliant with the local laws
and regulations, and; monitoring their application and effectiveness to ensure
they continue to support NHIC's requirements.
Providing guidance and
advice on the design and implementation of new organizational structures;
Coordinating with
business managers to develop business strategies and plans, providing guidance
and advice to integrate HR solutions.
Analyzing staffing
levels, employee census, employee turnover, and development needs etc. to
forecast organizational, people and skill requirements and develop a workforce
plan.
Developing career and
succession plans to motivate, engage and retain talented employees in the
organization.
Developing and
implementing a strategy to recruit, select and hire relevant candidates
internally and externally.
Establishing a system,
which efficiently deals with sourcing of employees, selection, employment
offer, employment verification, hiring and induction of newly joined employees.
Ensuring that the
roles and responsibilities are appropriately communicated to all employees.
Developing a
compensation, benefits and rewards strategy in line with the market trends.
Designing and
implementing a job evaluation system to manage job relativity across the
organization and establish clear job grades at NHIC.
Establishing a system
to ensure that all contractual and performance entitlements and benefits are
processed in a timely manner.
Providing support and
guidance to employees in identifying training and development needs,
individually as well as organization wide.
Ensuring that the training
delivery is effective and meets the required objectives and training
administration is efficient and timely.
Designing and
developing an objective performance management system, establishing performance
standards, methods of evaluation and measurement of objectives.
Ensuring that monthly
payroll is prepared and coordinates with Finance Department for payment.
Determining and
recommending employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive
employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and
motivation.
Managing the
redeployment and employee separation processes to ensure smooth and effective
functioning of NHIC.
Managing
organizational change
Managing the employee
information such as demographics, performance records, verification etc. and
producing standard and customised reports for management reporting
requirements.
Keeping abreast of
professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued
education and professional growth.
Performing other
duties and responsibilities as directed by the CEO.
Preparing the annual
budget in terms of manpower requirements for the Human Resources Department.
