With the opening of Hamad International Airport in May
2014, Qatar Duty Free moved from a 2,200 Sqm shop in DIA to 25,000 Sqms and the
soon-to-open North Node will bring this to 40,000 Sqms. The business
improvement
team has formed due to the need to make significant changes to
systems, operational and commercial processes, focussing on business
optimisation through improved productivity, positively impacting the bottom
line.
You will be the key driver for the improvement of business
process, implementing and monitoring internationally recognised quality
management practice to improve business efficiencies and profitability. Your
role will involve the monitoring of business continuity and risk management.
As the Business Improvement Manager you will be a subject matter
expert, able to come into the company and immediately assess and prioritise
business improvements with measurable costs and productivity improvements. You
will network effectively and build relationships with other group entities such
as group solutions, LEAN, business continuity, auditors and finance, to secure
support and where possible, resources for initiatives. You will devise a
budget with clear return on investment measures. You will recommend and
implement projects that will improve the Company's competitiveness. In this
position you will be operating across four companies, QDF, Food & Beverage,
IMS and Inflight. You will be required to interface with external accreditation
bodies and other best-practice benchmark businesses.
About You::
You will hold a Bachelors Degree and Lean/Six Sigma and other
business improvement programmes. Ideally you will be qualified in Project
Management and have a minimum of 7 years experience. Cross-category experience
within FMCG and knowledge of the retail process will be an asset.
