General Purpose
•Responsible for working with clients introduced by the Business Development Manager as well as significantly growing sales within the UAE.

•The General Manager will also be responsible for managing and executing this office on a day to day basis and driving forward future development.
•To take responsibility for the team of Travel Consultants achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual sales (and profitability) targets.
•The General Manager will manage and sustain a highly motivated, successful team in all aspects of sales and service.
•The successful candidate will have experience of working in a VIP or HNWI environment, as well as working in the luxury travel market.
Key Responsibilities •Supervising, motivating and monitoring individual sales performances of Travel Consultants
•To provide timely and accurate reports on the sales performance of the Abu Dhabi office, broken down by Travel Consultant and destination
•To ensure resource exists to achieve and exceed the sales targets. Manage and balance recruitment needs, holidays, educational trips and sickness to ensure optimum cover is provided to deliver excellent customer service across all destinations. To actively intervene and re-allocate resource when necessary
•Responsibility for the recruitment, induction and the on-going training of Travel Consultants. The objective will be to have them servicing clients as effective and profitable Travel Consultants as quickly as possible from their start date
•To identify periods or destinations where sales are low (i.e. under-performing) and suggest strategies to generate business for these regions/periods. Work with the Team to ensure all enquiries are responded to appropriately
•Working collaboratively with the Operations Manager and Director of Marketing in the UK office to ensure that all pre-sale procedures are being diligently followed, so that meaningful data concerning enquiry levels, lead quality and source codes are captured
•Take responsibility for the active re-allocation and redistribution of sales leads in the best interest of the client - ensuring that all new enquiries are dealt with by the most appropriate Travel Consultant within an appropriate time. All leads to should be acknowledged immediately and itineraries to be created within 48 hours.
•Managing poor performance in an effective, timely and decisive manner,
•Effectively managing good performance - to maintain and build enthusiasm, celebrate success, to constantly challenge, to invest in further developing skills and then promoting/sharing their best practice techniques across the office.
•Communicating targets and leading performance appraisal reviews.
•Involvement in the planning and operation of educational travel for team members, to meet the commercial objectives of the company
•To provide accurate sales forecasting reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
