Job Purpose
To ensure that all financial
transactions are executed, recorded and reported as per generally accepted
accounting principles, international accounting standards and as per management
policies and procedures.
The Finance Manager will also
oversee all aspects of the accounting function which include managing a team of
accountants both local and overseas, reconcile receivables, financial
reporting, cash management, lead the development and enhancement of field
accounting and financial processes, facilitate exchange of financial
information within the company, and conduct company- wide audits.
Job Responsibilities
- Make the monthly closure of
management accounts along with the supporting schedules. Consolidation of
financial results between entities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance of
shared costs as per agreements for shared offices.
- Oversee the Update foreign
supplier invoice reference and prepare bank letters for payment.
- Monitor and analyze variances of
actuals vs budgets and forecasts.
- Review Monthly payroll including
verification of House rent allowance payment and make pay orders for the
payments. Co-ordinate the follow up with the bank for transfers not
executed.
- Work with the external Auditors,
providing information, explanation and guidance to ensure timely accounts
closing, reporting and a clean audit report, within the deadlines fixed by the
parent company.
- Monitor customer margins,
highlight deviations or significant variations.
- Keep track of all revisions to
IFRS, IAS and ensure compliance in areas of relevance/impact to company
accounting practices. Develop internal controls to ensure integrity, accuracy
and timeliness of financial data.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable
balances, highlight significant overdue amounts, and conduct reconciliations as
needed and make adequate provisioning.
- Review existing process in various
departments and develop/suggest improvements.
- Liaise with banks for financing
and relationship management.
- Assist CFO in developing financial
systems to facilitate management decision-making.
- Active participation in ICOFR
& SOX compliance.
- Oversee daily operations of the
Finance & Administration department including recruiting, training and
development of the accounting staff.
- Conduct thorough audits of the
local and overseas offices accounting processes, policies and procedures to
maximize efficiency and alignment with company's direction and growth
projections.
