FFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
-B.Sc / B.E. in Electrical Engineering with minimum 12 years
experience in oil field industry maintenance and planning of HV & LV
electrical equipment with the last 4 years in a supervisory position
for the Preventive maintenance work of HV / LV switchgears &
Protection Relay Testing
-Administer requisition for maintenance supplies, special tools, test equipment and the like.
-Direct work of personnel in his charge.
-Ensures his personnel's adherence to safe working.
-Administers monitors and manages all the “eBEAMS” for his activities for his disciplines.
-Ensure Updates /Maintenance of all relevant data Equipment / Maintenance /PM / Resource etc.)
-Obtain hot/cold/vehicle entry/confined space entry work permit.
-Should have full knowledge of HSE rules and regulations as per KOC standard associated to hazardous areas.
-Coordinate work function of personnel in his area of his responsibility including all disciplines.
-Ensures the implementation of preventive & Predictive
maintenance programme by concerned personal to meet the maintenance
goals both at site and at workshop facilities.
-Monitor work site to ensure safe working practices and conditions.
-Carry out electrical tests (such as relay testing using new
generation 3-phase relay test kit
(Megger-MPRT-8430/Omicron-CMC-356/GE-Freja-300/406 or equivalent, HV AC/
DC Testing etc.)
-Candidate should be conversant with substation automation (IEC
61850: standard for the design of electrical substation automation) and
SCADA system, upload and download relay settings (as per IEC 60870-5-103
Transmission Protocols, Companion standard for the informative
interface of protection equipment) from microprocessor based relays of
Siemens /AREVA / ABB or similar make.
-Carry out power system studies using ETAP.
-Must be able to carry out rack in and rack out procedure related to High Voltage & Low Voltage switchgears.
-Must be able to use all electrical testing equipment such as
Dielectric Discharge Test Kit, Tan Delta Test Kit, Micro Ohm Meter,
Oscilloscope/Scope meter etc.
-Drives contract’s vehicle as required.
-Liaise with other maintenance sections and the Company personnel in support of the work.
-Liaises with all concerned to ensure efficient utilizes of manpower.
-Prepare the required reports.
-Assist in preparing for relay testing, spare parts, special tools, manpower requirements and likewise.
-Prepare time / attendance sheets.
-Previous Maintenance experience in electrical distribution systems
up to 11KV, relays & protection systems, switchgears, Circuit
Breakers, UPS and their trouble shooting techniques.
-The ability to understand/ review ETAP Studies, SLDs, Control & schematic drawings.
-Basic understanding of program scheduling techniques.
-Must be able to trouble shoot system equipment and carryout necessary repairs.
-Must be competent to download fault, setting & history records
from microprocessor based protection relays. Must be competent to
analyze /review failure reports and also to prepare detailed fault
analysis report.
-Must have experience have skill and to do physically testing,
calibration and installation of various types of CTs,/PTs, protection
relays i.e. Solid state protection relays, Electro Mechanical relays,
Micro - processor based and numerical relays for Generator, Bus bar
protection, Cable feeders, MCCs Transformers and HV&LV motors in
accordance with the specification & KOC standards.
-Should have experience and knowledge of computer.
-Must be able to direct the work of subordinate staff.
-Must be able to plan work functions of the facility.
-Must be able to make quick sound decision.
-Must be able to decide on necessity to repair or replace parts.
-Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
-Must be capable of group communications to direct and control work he is responsible for.
-Maintain equipment and testing records. Assist in planning /scheduling.
-Should possess analytical capabilities, to diagnose faults, to do root cause analysis and trends by logical elimination.
