Help ‘deliver the
amazing’ and be part of a CH2M team responsible for overseeing the technical
delivery of one of the largest sporting events to be hosted within the Middle
East – the Qatar 2022 Football World Cup.
Reporting to the Non-Competition Venues Asset Assurance Senior Manager, your position will be to monitor, support, coordinate and influence all technical third party delivery activities related to the Temporary Accommodation for the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) including, where required, oversight of third party stakeholder delivered; design and engineering; procurement; construction and development; commissioning and closeout; operations and ensuring that the SC’s associated requirements and interests are maintained throughout the lifecycle of the Technical Programme.
You would be required to:-
Assist the Temporary Accommodation Senior Manager in developing and implementing the Temporary Accommodation strategy and code that includes best practice standards for the SC
Assist in the development of the integrated Temporary Accommodation master plan for the SC’s Technical Programme; in collaboration and coordination with key stakeholders
Support and guide the delivery of the Temporary Accommodation projects from inception (strategic business case) to completion, handover and operations in accordance with all SC policies, procedures, guidance, and governance
Support and guide the delivery of the Temporary Accommodation projects to the agreed, scope, time, quality, cost, environmental and safety
Provide guidance and support to the design and approval of the Temporary Accommodation projects throughout the pre-contract phase of the development ensuring compliance with all SC requirements
Monitor the performance of the Temporary Accommodation projects and influence delivery to ensure that all SC requirements for these venues are met
Support the development, implementation, management and maintenance of an integrated risk, early warning, change management system and tools for Temporary Accommodation projects
Management and professional support of the Temporary Accommodation staff
Identify staffing requirements to meet the Section’s needs and goals in coordination with the Temporary Accommodation Senior Manager including the development of manpower plans for the Division and succession planning for key positions
Minimum Qualifications
As a successful applicant you will possess a Bachelor of Engineering, Science or relevant degree related to project management and / or construction. You will be coming with at least 15 years of experience (at least 7 years in a senior supervisory or managerial role) and ideally RICS qualified with exposure in managing residential and mix use developments. A strong preference will be given to those who can demonstrate competence in pre-development appraisals and business case writing, especially from within a Real Estate background.
Preferred Qualifications
An MBA, Master of Engineering, Master of Science or other relevant postgraduate qualification would be an advantage as well as experience within the GCC region.
