Job Purpose:Support and maintain
computer systems, desktops, and peripherals which include installing,
diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment
while ensuring optimal
workstation performance Main Tasks &
AccountabilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to :
1. Install and configure computer
hardware operating systems and applications
2. Monitor and maintain computer
systems and networks
3. Help users through a series of
actions, either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems or
resolve issues;
4. Troubleshoot system and network
problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
5. Replacing parts as required
6. Provide support, including
procedural documentation and relevant reports
7. Follow diagrams and written
instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
8. Support the roll-out of new
applications
9. Setting up new users' accounts
and profiles and dealing with password issues
10. Respond within agreed time
limits to call-outs
11. Work continuously on a task
until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
12. Prioritize and manage many open
cases at one time
