Based at our MENA head office in
Dubai your role will be to to manage the sourcing of Quaker Food Ingredients
and Packaging for Middle East & North Africa, through (1) Defining and
executing a Food Ingredients category strategy: Risk Management, Supplier
Relationship Management, Innovation and Productivity, (2) Measuring and
Improving Performance, (3) and Achieving Annual Plans and Delivering
Productivity.
Job Description
- Ingredients and Packaging category
strategy, using systematic 7 step strategic sourcing approach.- Participate in
cross-functional category team, using RACI model.- Manage category on a
regional level and leverage from PepsiCo's scale in the region.- Follow Quaker
Food Ingredients and packaging price trends, ensure compliance to PepsiCo
coverage guidelines and take pro-active measures to mitigate risk.- Work
closely with GP COE & MSO to:
- Plan and monitor Food Ingredients
and Packaging category annual and long-term strategic sourcing targets- Plan
and monitor sourcing Productivity / Savings for Food Ingredients category (for
the current year and over SBP).- Lead continuous improvement initiatives from
procurement side for the category.- Evaluate & evolve sourcing strategy
based on changing market conditions and provide inputs during strategic
sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and
negotiations.- Ensure implementation of sourcing strategy / plans, compliance
monitored, and benefits tracked (in close collaboration with the Supply
planning team) in line with the procurement policy & practices
- Closely liaise with main business
stakeholders in PepsiCo and with Co-packers.- Sell category strategy to
business stakeholders; one focal point to represent Quaker Food Ingredients and
packaging category internally (peer level) and externally (suppliers &
Co-Packers)- Ensure implementation of best-in-class sourcing tools, relevant to
the category.- Lead category negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers-
Track Food Ingredients supply market, share evolving category trends, monitor
supplier performance and share benchmarking against industry / market
standards.
Requirements/ Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Strategic Sourcing
experience in FMCG.- Food Ingredients Sourcing Experience.- Experience in using
advanced sourcing methodologies/ tools.- Experience in a regional procurement
function/ company.
